UCITE discussion on mindfulness

The University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) will hold a discussion on the merits of mindfulness in the college classroom today (Oct. 2) from 12:45 to 2 p.m. in the Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Herrick Room.

This session will offer an update on what scholars are saying about mindfulness in the classroom, who’s doing it, and some ideas and resources for integrating the practices into the classroom.

Elizabeth Click assistant professor at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Barbara Burgess-Van Aken, a teaching fellow, and Matthew Salerno, lecturer of law, will lead the session. Participants will actively discuss ideas regarding mindfulness.

A pizza lunch, sodas and water will be provided at this session. To register, email ucite@case.edu.
