Join the School of Law Thursday, March 8, from 9:30 to 10 a.m. in the school’s Moot Court Room (A59) for a breakfast presentation with executives from the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The presentation, which includes complimentary bagels and coffee for attendees, will explain:
- The role of the USPTO and Regional Offices;
- How the patent system changed with the America Invents Act; and
- Opportunities available for students at the USPTO.
Presenters also will be available for a Q&A session with inventors, students and faculty to explain the support available to each group.
Presenters will include USPTO Outreach Assistant Regional Director Alford Kindred, USPTO Resource Supervisory Patent Examiner Cynthia Kelly and members of the management team.
The IP Venture Clinic’s Patent Pro Bono Program and the Student Intellectual Property Law Association will sponsor the event.
