The CWRU Wellness program invites you to join the annual week–long celebration of kindness February 12-18. Kindnesses can be big or small, anonymous or in person so long as they are done with good intention.
Some ideas for this week:
1. Send a thank you note expressing gratitude for the people in your life
2. Plan a Kindness Happy Hour. Instead of meeting for an hour for drinks, meet for an hour to plug parking meters, smile at strangers, shovel the sidewalks along an entire street, etc.
3. Write inspiring words/phrases on the whiteboard before class starts
4. Save unused/unwanted coupons, then place them next to relevant products in the grocery store
5. Personally thank people you don’t often remember to thank like your custodian, mail carrier or crossing guard
6. Bring dog or cat food to the animal shelter
7. Be kind to the earth by recycling products you use and placing discarded items into the proper receptacle
8. Buy a cup of coffee for your professor
9. Put away your cell phone when you are in company with others and give your full attention

Those who want to continue spreading kindness all year are invited to be RAKtivists. These ambassadors live and breathe kindness and lead by example. Apply to be an official RAKtivist on the Random Acts of Kindness website.
Building a culture of kindness is quite possible if the whole campus community participates.
