As part of our campus’s Tree Campus USA designation, Case Western Reserve University holds an annual tree-related service learning event. This year, the Office of Energy & Sustainability will catalogue the health of tree roots throughout campus by evaluating their root flare Friday, Nov. 22. Those interested in participating will meet in the Tomlinson Hall conference room from 1 to 1:30 for a short training with scones and hot chocolate. From there, participants will spend the next hour documenting their findings.
The information collected will help the CWRU grounds crew better care for campus trees.
The event will go on as planned regardless of the weather, so participants are encouraged to dress appropriately.
