“Trans Allyship 101”

Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to join the LGBT Center for a virtual “Trans Allyship 101” workshop Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. 

This workshop goes in depth on the topics of transgender identity and allyship. Specifically, this presentation will cover:

  • The differences between sex, gender and sexuality;
  • An in-depth discussion of what it means to be transgender and what transition can look like;
  • Myth busting common misconceptions about trans adults and trans children;
  • An overview of the issues faced by transgender people; and
  • Practical ways to be a trans-inclusive ally.
