The Schubert Center for Child Studies Policy Director and Ohio Lead-Free Kids Coalition co-chair Gabriella Celeste will lead Toward a Lead-Free Ohio Virtual Town Hall, together with co-chair Timothy Johnson Friday, April 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. Attendees will learn about key investments in the Ohio budget to prevent and address child lead exposure, promising lead prevention strategies and opportunities for further action.
Remarks by a distinguished panel of guest speakers, including a parent of a child poisoned by lead during a home renovation and a lead worker trained to use lead-safe work practices, will be followed by moderated audience questions and connections to education materials and advocacy resources.
The panelists will be:
- Stephanie McCloud, Ohio Department of Health director;
- Sen. Matt Dolan, Senate Finance Chair; and
- Rep. Dontavious Jarrells, House Finance Member.
