Please be advised that the university has been experiencing an abundance of clogged toilets on campus. Technicians are frequently finding flushed wipes, masks and gloves leading to many of these clogs.
While individuals may be attempting to take extra precautions during the pandemic, these items are not flushable.
The following items should be placed in the trash—not toilets:
- Disinfecting wipes, baby wipes, towelettes (even when labeled flushable)
- Paper towels and facial tissues
- Feminine hygiene products (sanitary napkins and tampons)
- Plastic or latex items (gloves)
- Masks
