Thursday kicks off month-long series of packed admission events; expect crowds

This Thursday and Friday, March 27-28, the Office of Undergraduate Admission will kick off a series of open house events for admitted seniors and prospective underclassmen, bringing large crowds and lots of excitement to campus. Open house events will continue throughout the month of April, leading up to the May 1 National Decision Deadline.

This week’s events will bring more than 450 families to campus, including more than 300 admitted seniors who will stay overnight Thursday with current students and an additional 150-plus juniors, seniors and their families for daylong prospective-student events Friday. In total, undergraduate admission expects more than 1,200 visitors over these two days.

Similar events for admitted students will take place:

  • April 3–4
  • April 10–11
  • April 17–18
  • April 21

The university community should expect higher-than-normal traffic on the roads, on campus walkways, in parking facilities and in the dining halls during these open house days. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to plan accordingly and to welcome these campus visitors with smiles and hospitality.
