Three updated titles available in Software Center

Three new updates are available in the University Technology ([U]Tech) Software Center: CrystalMaker, IBM SPSS Modeler and Read & Write Gold. All of the titles are available to all Case Western Reserve University students, faculty and staff at no additional cost.

To install any software listed:

  1. Visit the Software Center website and click “I Agree” to accept the end-user license agreement.
  2. Find the appropriate title in the software title list and click on the preferred operating system icon.
  3. Follow the instructions on the following page.

[U]Tech recommends removing any previous versions before installing the upgrade.

CrystalMaker

CrystalMaker has been upgraded to version 10 (title in software list: “CrystalMaker 10”) with a new annual license expiring Aug. 31, 2020.

CrystalMaker provides a very efficient way to visualize crystal and molecular structures for instructors, students and researchers in chemistry and materials sciences. Its interactive design lets users build their own visual understanding of complex materials.

IBM SPSS Modeler

IBM SPSS Modeler has been upgraded to version 18.2 (title in software list: “SPSS Modeler Premium 18.2 With Text Analytics”) with a new annual license expiring Aug. 31, 2020.

IBM SPSS Modeler is a predictive analytics platform that helps users build accurate predictive models quickly and deliver predictive intelligence to individuals, groups, systems and the enterprise. It provides a range of advanced algorithms and analysis techniques, including text analytics, entity analytics, decision management and optimization to deliver insights in near real-time. It is ideal for those working in statistics, the sciences, research or any applications that involve high volumes of data.

Read & Write Gold

Read & Write Gold has been upgraded to version 12 (title in software list: “Read & Write Gold Edition 12”) with a new annual license expiring Aug. 5, 2020.

This award-winning software supports people of all ages and abilities who struggle with reading and writing, learning disabilities or learning English.
