Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to the next Think Forum event with Elizabeth Kolbert, who will give the F. Joseph Callahan Distinguished Lecture Wednesday, May 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Silver Hall at the Maltz Performing Arts Center.
Kolbert is the author of The New York Times bestseller Field Notes from a Catastrophe: Man, Nature, and Climate Change; The Sixth Extinction, for which she won a Pulitzer Prize; and Under the White Sky: The Nature of the Future.
For her work at The New Yorker, where she’s been a staff writer since 1999, she has received two National Magazine Awards, a National Academies Communication Award and the Blake-Dodd Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Her latest book, H is for Hope was published this spring. Kolbert is also a visiting fellow at Williams College in Massachusetts.Admission is free, but tickets are required.
