The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences’ Office of International Education Programs and Office of International Affairs and the LINK (Local InterNational Konnection) student group will host a panel discussion in celebration of International Education Week. The session, titled “The Voices of Immigration: Thriving Beyond Borders,” will be held Nov 19 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Mandel School’s Noble Commons.
The session will feature experts working in the field of immigration and migrant services in Cleveland, El Salvador and India. The event will be moderated by Brenna Dilley from International Partners in Mission and will feature the following panelists:
- Patrick Kearn, executive director of Refugee Response;
- Adela Zayas Hernández, project partner at International Partners in Mission);
- Mahesh Upadhyaya, project partner at International Partners in Mission; and
- Michelle Taylor, micro-enterprise and development program coordinator with US Together.
CWRU community members are invited to join the conversation with fellow change agents who are making an impact in social work and communities around the world.
Dinner will be provided and one professional development hour will be available for students.
