The quad, patios, a fountain—students’ favorite study spots revealed

Many students across campus are getting their fill of fall weather before winter rolls in by studying outdoors. First-year students especially, listen up—you just may find a study spot to check out.

The quad is the most popular spot on campus to hit the books, according to our poll. The high-quality people-watching factor of the quad must be too distracting for many, though, because coming in a close second were those who find studying outdoors to be incomprehensible.

Other spots getting votes include:

  • Jolly Scholar patio
  • Mather quad
  • Between Leutner and Pierce
  • The fountain outside Guilford
  • Juniper/Cedar study room balconies
  • Wade Lagoon
