Kelvin Smith Library will host April Lancaster from the Cleveland Public Library for a discussion on The Library Book by Susan Orlean Wednesday, April 10, from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Dampeer Room.
The Library Book chronicles the 1986 fire that destroyed 700,000 books in the Los Angeles Central library and its aftermath.
A light lunch will be provided at the event.
Registration is available through CampusGroups.
There are a limited number of copies of the book available for checkout at the library for those who would like to read it before the discussion. Contact Gail Reese, associate director of public engagement and library administration, for more details at 216.368.5291 or egr@case.edu.
