Join the Veale Institute for Entrepreneurship Monday, Nov. 16, at 5 p.m. via Facebook Live for an advanced seminar discussion titled “The Internet of Things” with Steve Porter, CEO of riskLD.
Porter is a physician entrepreneur who is passionate about applying social and technological innovations to improve the health and wellbeing of women around the world. Porter completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in 2018. He works as an OB/GYN hospitalist at University Hospitals and is the chief medical officer of riskLD, a health IT startup.
The Internet of Things is a CWRU Advanced Seminar course taught by David Sylvan, professor of design and innovation at the Weatherhead School of Management at CWRU. The course is designed to give students the opportunity to explore the community of ideas and activities related to the professional and managerial world.
Several lectures from “The Internet of Things” will be broadcast this fall semester for the Veale Institute’s Open Class Series. Other Open Classes this semester feature seminars from Brandon Cornuke’s AMES Business Model course, Michael Goldberg’s Beyond Silicon Valley course, and Gary Pillar’s Advanced Seminar on Sports Management.
