“The Impact of Flavored Cigarillo Labels on Product Packages, Visual Attention and Risk Perceptions Among Youth and Young Adult Cigarillo Users and Nonusers”

The Prevention Research Center for Healthy Neighborhoods invites members of the Case Western Reserve University community to its next seminar series presentation Wednesday, June 12, at noon via Zoom.

Elizabeth Klein, from The Ohio State University Division of Health Behavior and Health Promotion at the College of Public Health, will present “The Impact of Flavored Cigarillo Labels on Product Packages, Visual Attention and Risk Perceptions Among Youth and Young Adult Cigarillo Users and Nonusers.”

Klein’s academic background is in behavioral epidemiology, and her research and practice experiences in public health focus on the primary prevention of chronic disease. As a behavioral epidemiologist, Klein’s work has been influenced to a great extent by the social-ecological model, and its five levels of influence of behavior: individual, interpersonal, organization, community and policy. The priority populations for her research include youth and young adults, as well as rural adults at high risk for tobacco use, with a focus on strategies to eliminate disparities and achieve health equity.
