“The Haggadah in History: A (Virtual) Tour”

The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will offer a remote lecture titled “The Haggadah in History: A (Virtual) Tour” Thursday, March 18, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Sasha Goldstein-Sabbah, digital curator for the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam and the Jewish Heritage Network, will lead this session.

The Passover Haggadah is an iconic Jewish text. With each generation, the traditional recounting of the Exodus story finds new relevance and as such, each edition of the Haggadah is a unique statement of the moment and context in which it is written. The yahad.net project has curated a digital collection of historic and modern Haggadot from museums and publishing houses all over the world. This event will be a virtual tour of these Haggadot for attendees to learn how they can use them in their own (virtual) Passover seder.

Register to attend.
