The School of Law will host a “The Geneva Conventions at 75: Need for Innovation” symposium Sept. 26–27.
This symposium, which serves as the Midwest Regional Conference of the American Branch of the International Law Association, will commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the 1949 Geneva Conventions. The world’s leading experts in international humanitarian law will participate as speakers and panelists. In an age of new technology and means of warfare, it will focus on whether there is a need for a new Geneva Convention for the challenges of the 21st century.
The two-day event will be held at Cleveland Browns’ stadium and the Cleveland Botanical Garden.
