The Beat UPTOWN resumes with The Great Marshmallow Roast on Nov. 13

the beat uptownThe Beat UPTOWN, which featured eight weekly free live concerts, local foods and other activities this summer, resumes with a seasonal offering: The Beat UPTOWN—The Great Marshmallow Roast.

The Great Marshmallow Roast will be held Thursday, Nov. 13, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Toby’s Plaza, at the corner of Euclid Avenue and Mayfield Road in Uptown, Cleveland’s emerging arts and entertainment district near Case Western Reserve University.

Warm yourselves by a bonfire while roasting marshmallows and sipping hot cider.

Then, at 7 p.m., guests will be able to head inside the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) to enjoy a special screening of the movie Addams Family Values and revel in the comical scene of “The First Thanksgiving” play.

The gathering is free and open to the public and will be staged rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.

The Beat UPTOWN is a collaborative effort by Case Western Reserve University, the Cleveland Foundation, Toby Devan Lewis, MOCA Cleveland, Cleveland Institute of Art and MRN Ltd. Free event parking is available in designated Uptown lots.
