The Beat UPTOWN concert series continues tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 14, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the corner of Euclid Avenue and Mayfield Road on Toby’s Plaza next to MOCA Cleveland. The event features the Mayfield Strings and Uno Lady, selected by the Beachland Ballroom.
The Mayfield Strings’ members perform with the Akron Symphony, the Cleveland Pops, the Erie Philharmonic and the Ohio Philharmonic Orchestra. Cellist Tara Hanish has performed with Kanye West, the Foo Fighters, Smokey Robinson and on the Grammys, and is a member of Cleveland indie rock band Seafair.
Uno Lady is a one-woman choir who creates soundscapes built from melodic loops. Her innovation and good-humored music recently earned her a Creative Workforce Fellowship.

Food trucks will also be on site this week, featuring Chef Grey Wolf Grill, Boca Loca Burrito Factory and MotorMouth.
