The Beat UPTOWN, the summer concert series on Toby’s Plaza at the corner of Euclid Avenue and Mayfield Road, continues tomorrow, Thursday, Aug. 7. This week’s concert features Maura Rogers and the Bellows, selected by the Beachland Ballroom. Rogers, a Clevelander, writes feel-good songs that symbolize her ongoing triumph over the ravages of illness, which were recently captured in the July issue of Good Housekeeping. Through the help of friends and family, Rogers has fought off kidney failure and written powerful, life-affirming tunes that amaze and delight.
WRUW–FM 91.1 deejays will kick off the night’s entertainment at 6 p.m., followed by live music at 6:30 p.m.
Food trucks will also be on site, featuring DonutLab, Wholly Frijoles and Pig Lickin’ Good BBQ.
