The university community is invited to an evening on The Arts @ CWRU today (March 26) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Linsalata Alumni Center. The evening will be split into two parts: a presentation on FRONT International’s inaugural art triennial and a discussion led by photographer Barney Taxel.
Part one
This interactive presentation will be about FRONT International’s inaugural art triennial, An American City, coming this summer.
Learn about the region-wide exhibition, its programs, the artists, opportunities and what to expect as part of North America’s largest contemporary art triennial taking place from July 14 to September 30.
Part two
Photographer Barney Taxel, lecturer in the Department of Art History and Art, will discuss the moods and beauty of Lake View Cemetery as seen in his Alumni Spotlight Exhibit: Lake View Cemetery: Photographs from Cleveland’s Historic Landmark.
A reception will follow.
