“Teens and Reproductive Rights in Ohio: Understanding the Landscape Now and on the Horizon”

The Schubert Center for Child Studies and Master of Public Health Program will host a talk with attorney Jessie Hill, the Judge Ben C. Green Professor of Law at the School of Law. Hill will present “Teens and Reproductive Rights in Ohio: Understanding the Landscape Now and on the Horizon” Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.

Hill, a national legal expert on reproductive rights, will discuss the legal issues surrounding abortion and reproductive access in Ohio. This discussion will focus on teens and include a review of the legal landscape post-Dobbs and the Ohio constitutional amendment to protect abortion and reproductive rights passed in 2023, some of the issues looking forward, and those specific to especially vulnerable youth populations (i.e., youth in foster care, runaway youth, etc.).

Morgan Mitchell, a legal fellow who works with pregnant youth to provide financial, emotional, and practical support for abortion care in Ohio, will join Hill for this event as the discussant.
