DARPA tech could give artificial hands sense of touch

NBC News: Using technology created by biomedical engineering’s Dustin Tyler, a collaborative team of researchers from around the country will work together to speed up the development of a prosthetic hand that restores the sense of touch to amputees. Because of its funding, DARPA hopes to have an FDA-approved system ready to test in homes within the next four years.
