Applications for the Center for Civic Engagement and Learning’s Civic Engagement Scholars program are available now. The program is designed to promote and recognize meaningful student involvement in the Cleveland community. Scholars commit to completing 50 community service hours, with at least 25 hours at one site during the academic year.
To enhance their learning, scholars also attend five workshops and trainings. Upon successful completion of the program, scholars will be awarded a Certificate of Distinguished Service and attend a reception hosted by President Barbara Snyder.
Applications for the program are available online and due by Sunday, Sept. 20. The first mandatory program orientation will take place Friday, Sept. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m.
