Take advantage of University Hospitals’ special holiday yoga offers

women doing yogaThe Connor Integrative Medicine Network at University Hospitals will continue to offer its yoga classes throughout December.

As a special holiday offer, new participants will get their first class free. Otherwise, each class is $15 individually, and a four-class pass is $40 and must be used within three months of purchase.

As an added holiday bonus, those who refer a new participant who buys a minimum of a four-class pass will receive a free class credited to their pass.

The classes offered include hatha yoga and gentle yoga.

The hatha yoga course is held every Tuesday, from 6 to 7 p.m. in University Hospitals Lerner Tower, Room 2060 (2nd floor). This class blends a variety of levels of yoga poses with an exploration of the body, mind, and spirit connection through breathing and meditative practices.

The gentle hatha yoga class is held every Thursday, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital Community Room (1st floor). This class combines breath awareness and guided relaxation practices along with some standing, seated (on the floor) and reclining poses. This class is appropriate for beginners, individuals with low back pain or other health conditions, and more experienced students who want a slower paced, less strenuous class.
