Take a course to learn about Japanese storytelling

Have you ever wondered about the origins of Japanese storytelling? Do you want to know the historical background of Japanese gods and goddesses who appear in video games? Do you wonder about the uses of elegance, love, nature, and religion in modern Japanese manga and anime? Come unlock the secrets to Japanese literature by studying the earliest Japanese texts. From poetry, essay, narrative, and drama we will investigate the essential aspects of Japanese culture and sensibility before the modern era (1868-) of Western influence.
