Tackle new technology through library’s free CaseLearns workshops

Registration is now open for fall semester CaseLearns New Media Workshops with courses on PowerPoint, digital images, video editing and more. New workshops include “Making Websites” and “3D Printing.” Some courses this semester will also be offered on Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings.

In addition, this semester will feature “Freedman Center Fridays” with Kelvin Smith Library’s Creative New Media Officer Jared Bendis. These flexible “office hours” are set up to provide hands-on training with the software and hardware the Freedman Center has to offer. Attendees don’t need to stay for the full three hours; rather, they should just stop by and tell Freedman Center representatives what they want to learn.

Faculty members who are interested in having students incorporate new media projects into their courses are encouraged to contact Bendis at jared.bendis@case.edu. Bendis can consult faculty members on project parameters, arrange for training sessions and showcase how best to take advantage of library resources and technology.

All workshops are held at Kelvin Smith Library Room 215.
