Sweet and Savory Self-Care Event

Feeling stressed lately? Craving something sweet or savory to comfort yourself and de-stress? Join the Local InterNational Konnection (LINK) student group at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences for a special “Sweet and Savory Self-Care Event,” where students can practice mindfulness and meditation and learn about foods from different cultures.

In this one-hour virtual self-care event, students can discuss their worries and concerns while sharing their favorite “go-to food.” Students will also learn from one another about how eating your favorite food can help you de-stress, as well as the culture behind different foods. A mindfulness body scan exercise, led by special guest Kylie Evans will be conducted at the end of the session to help students increase self-regulation and ground themselves.

This event will take place today (Oct. 18) from 7 to 8 p.m. (ET). All members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to attend. Register to receive the session link.
