Suzanne Rivera, associate vice president for research and assistant professor of bioethics and pediatrics, was appointed to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Human Studies Review Board.
The review board is a federal advisory committee operating under the Federal Advisory Committee Act. It provides advice, information and recommendations on issues related to scientific and ethical aspects of human subjects research.
The board is composed of nationally recognized experts in relevant scientific or technical disciplines such as biostatistics, human toxicology, bioethics, and human health risk assessment.
Rivera’s term officially began Oct. 1.
