Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to spring 2020 Sustained Dialogue Moderator Training Saturday, Jan. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Thwing Center, Room 101.
Sustained Dialogue brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds to discuss diversity and inclusion issues, as well as campus issues of concern. Groups develop proposals on ways to improve the campus experience, and at the conclusion of the program, present their recommendations to university leadership.
Moderator training is mandatory for anyone interested in becoming a Sustained Dialogue moderator.
The training also will benefit those looking to:
- Learn more about Sustained Dialogue;
- Practice the art of dialogue before joining a group; or
- Learn skills to help facilitate important conversations in the classroom, within offices or organizations.
Lunch will be served during the event.
The training is free, but registration is required. Register through CampusGroups.
The Office for Inclusion, Diversity and Equal Opportunity, First-Year Experience and Family Programs and the Office of Multicultural Affairs will sponsor the training.
