Susan Freimark appointed acting director of Flora Stone Mather Center for Women

Susan FreimarkSusan Freimark has been appointed acting director of the Flora Stone Mather Center for Women, effective June 8. Freimark currently serves as the associate director of Women Faculty Leadership Development at the center and has been on staff there since 2010.

In this capacity, she conducts workshops and individual coaching sessions to support women faculty to address a variety of issues, including the promotion and tenure process, creating a professional development plan, emotional intelligence in the work place, and self-advocacy and promotion.

At the center, Freimark has created several successful new programs, including the Women Faculty Connect lunch program and the Asian Women Faculty group.

Freimark is a licensed counselor, with a specialty in career issues. She has been at CWRU for 19 years, with a four-year stint at the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University. At CWRU, she has also served as director of Career Services for the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and the Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations from 1990 to 2014.
