As the end of the year nears, “best of” lists and rankings compilations make their way onto nearly every news site—not to mention your Facebook news feed. Lately, word has spread quickly via social media about Case Western Reserve University’s high rankings on the college-search site CollegeProwler.com, which compiles student reviews and surveys of actual students to get the inside scoop on everything from Greek life to nightlife, academics to athletics.
Especially of note: Case Western Reserve males ranked No. 6 out of 845 on the “Smartest Guys” list, while the females came in at an impressive No. 15 out of 850 on the “Smartest Girls” list. Additionally, the university ranked No. 3 for best Greek/non-Greek relations—out of 742 universities.
The university’s technology infrastructure also received high marks, coming in at No. 6 for “Best Wireless Availability.” In fact, technology on campus in general received a stellar A+ grade, with the university coming in No. 34 in “Best Network Availability” and No. 38 in “Best Computer Availability”; both categories ranked 934 schools.
Case Western Reserve has received plenty of kudos this year: The university ranked No. 38 on U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges 2012 list, Washington Monthly placed the university at No. 7 in its annual college rankings, and The Huffington Post named Case Western Reserve one of its nine “trendiest colleges.”
