Registration for summer courses is open for all Case Western Reserve University students. More than 100 courses (on-campus, online and abroad) are available from the College of Arts and Sciences, the Case School of Engineering and the Weatherhead School of Management. Reasons to take summer classes include:
- Having a reduced fall or spring course load;
- Making room for study abroad, internships and co-op experiences;
- Graduating on time or ahead of schedule;
- Focusing on challenging foundational courses;
- Fulfilling pre-med or general education requirements; and
- Improving performance in a previously completed class.
While in Cleveland over the summer, students can:
- Enjoy barbecues on campus;
- Experience University Circle’s Wade Oval Wednesdays;
- Spend time on the lakefront or in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park; and
- Catch a Cleveland Indians baseball game.
Over the summer, tuition for courses numbered 100-399 is half the rate of fall and spring semesters.
The dates for summer session 2019 terms are:
- May Term: May 13–31
- 8-week session: June 3–July 29
- 5-week session: June 3–July 5
- 4-week session (1): June 3–28
- 6-week session: June 17–July 29
- 4-week session (2): July 8–Aug. 2
No classes will be held Monday, May 27, or Thursday, July 4.
