The Case Western Reserve University Department of Bioethics is offering the Medicine, Society and Culture (MSC) Summer Research Grants for undergraduates and graduate students. These programs are designed to support pilot or ongoing research at the intersection of culture, society, health and medicine.
The grants will be evaluated by an interdisciplinary committee of faculty. The criteria for selection are intellectual merit in a field related to bioethics, medical/health humanities and social medicine as well as potential impact on the student’s trajectory and professional development. Recipients are required to submit a written report and present publicly one time within the academic year following the award.
Those with questions can contact Eileen Anderson, the Anne Templeton Zimmerman, MD Professor of Bioethics and director of the Center for Medicine, Society and Culture, at epa5@case.edu, or Jonathan Sadowsky, the Theodore J. Castele Professor of Medical History and associate director of the Center for Medicine, Society and Culture, at jas34@case.edu.
