The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee is accepting funding requests for programming in honor of the 2017 MLK Celebration, which will take place Monday, Jan. 16, to Friday, Feb. 3.
The theme of this year’s MLK celebration is “Hope in Solidarity.”
Departments, student organizations, offices and centers are encouraged to apply for funding for events or programs that relate to the MLK week theme, the themes presented by the convocation speaker, or the values that King embodied.
Priority will be given for programs taking place Jan. 16–Feb. 3, but relevant programming that takes place later in February also will be considered as funding allows.
Co-sponsorships of events can range from $100 to $2,000. Past co-sponsorships have helped support speakers, films, displays, workshops, receptions, lunches and field trips.
The deadline to submit funding requests is Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 11:59 p.m. The request form is available online.
Any questions about the funding request process can be directed to Naomi Sigg at nxs399@case.edu.
