Lisa Brown, study abroad adviser in the Center for International Affairs, was one of only 14 study abroad professionals from around the country selected to attend the Institute for Study Abroad-Butler’s Institute at the Institute (I@I), held in Indianapolis July 23-26.
I@I is an annual conference that gathers early- and mid-career study abroad professionals to discuss topics of critical importance to the field of global education and receive mentoring from internationally recognized professionals.
Selection for I@I is highly competitive, requiring a letter of application, a project proposal and strong nominations from colleagues in the field. It is designed to bring rising professionals together to form networks as they prepare for leadership positions.
Brown graduated from the conference as an Institute Scholar.
