Students are invited to participate in the Labre Program, which gives them the chance to see the circumstances faced by many people in the Cleveland area.
Every Monday, students can meet individuals or families who are experiencing homelessness in the community. At 5:45 p.m. a short, voluntary prayer is said to St. Benedict Joseph Labre. At 6 p.m., the group begins traveling throughout the city, delivering home-cooked meals until 10:30 p.m. Transportation is provided to all registered volunteers.
The Labre Program is a participant in the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge.
Those students interested in participating in the Labre Program must attend at least one program orientation. Please contact labreinfo@case.edu for more information about the program orientation sessions.
The Labre Program will take place every Monday during the academic year and summer. To sign up to participate on a specific date, contact labreinfo@case.edu.
