Earlier this month, 70 students from Case Western Reserve University participated in the Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program’s annual poster conference, which was hosted at Kent State University.
Three students were recognized for excellence in content and presentation.
Mikayla Smith presented a poster, titled “Using Affinity to Overcome Drug Delivery Limitations of Microparticle Systems.” Smith worked with Horst von Recum, associate professor of biomedical engineering.
Rachel Hammond and Tyler Densmore completed a poster, titled “Biodegradable Trachel Stents,” under the guidance of Ozan Akkus, professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering.
