Prior to his Think Forum lecture on April 29, students will have the opportunity to engage in an intimate Zoom dialogue with Dacher Keltner, professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley. Keltner’s research focuses on the biological and evolutionary origins of compassion and awe. He is a leading scholar in the study of emotion, and serves as faculty director of the Berkeley Greater Good Science Center. Keltner was the scientific consultant for Pixar’s popular film, Inside Out, helping revise the story emphasizing the neuropsychological findings that human emotions are mirrored in interpersonal relationships and can be significantly moderated by them.
Students can participate in this roundtable discussion with Keltner, which will be held at 3:30 p.m. on April 29 and will be a 60-minute informal discussion shaped by student questions. To participate in this conversation, students are asked to RSVP on CampusGroups.
