The Student Presidents’ Roundtable (SPR) will hold a town hall meeting Sunday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eldred Hall. During this session, Case Western Reserve University undergraduate students can meet SPR members and discuss updates to initiatives on campus such as, but not limited to:
- Tuition and fees
- Student Activities Fund allocation
- Laundry rooms in residence halls
- Take out containers in dining halls
- Student employment
- Diversity and inclusion
- Support for Greek life dues
- Eldred Hall as a student space (which was an SPR initiative)
SPR is composed of the presidents or chairs of CWRU’s eight umbrella organizations: Undergraduate Student Government, Residence Hall Association, Undergraduate Diversity Collaborative, University Media Board, University Program Board, Class Officer Collective and Greek Life (Interfraternity Congress and Panhellenic Council). Additionally, the chair of the Allocations Committee serves on SPR as well.
SPR aims to increase cross-organizational communication, collaboration and commitment in order to better the undergraduate experience for students. Whether it is through meetings with higher-level university administrators or discussing campuswide issues, the SPR tries to advocate for the best interests of every CWRU student.
At the town hall, students can learn more about the SPR organizations, what they are working on this semester, and ask questions during a discussion panel. There also will be raffle prizes, catering from Cilantro Taqueria, and breakout sessions where students can meet SPR members directly.
