Student group Natural Blue, as part of the MKMR 304 Brand Management class, will host a Natural Gas Vehicle Showcase Friday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Motorcars Honda will display a natural gas Honda Civic on the main quad to educate students about the benefits of driving cars fueled by natural gas. These cars, along with additional information about safe and responsible natural gas development, will help educate and inform the campus and local community on the positive impact of new technologies and practices in shale gas development and the benefits of natural gas as an energy source. The campaign is designed to raise awareness that America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) and the natural gas community are dedicated to the safe and responsible development of this clean, affordable and domestic energy source for power generation and transportation.
In addition, Andrew Chiarelli, alternative fuels manager at Motorcars Honda, will be present to explain the benefits and answer questions concerning natural-gas-powered vehicles. His expertise, along with a variety of informational materials regarding natural gas provided by Natural Blue, aims to raise campus awareness about the benefits of natural gas.
