Learn how to transfer your skills to the real world Feb. 27

The Student Leadership Journey Council will hold a presentation on how to make the most of on-campus internships or work-study experiences to get ready for future employment.

The event will be Thursday, Feb. 27, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. in Guilford Lounge. Pizza will be provided. Register online to reserve a spot.

At the event, “Student Employment Seminar: Be Prepared for the Real World,” a Career Center counselor will help students learn to apply skills learned in campus jobs to real world professional situations.

Attendees will discuss how to develop skills and work on projects to become marketable job candidates, including goal setting, capitalizing on office resources and peers, and learning to ask for feedback.
