Student affairs’ Janice Gerda co-authors chapter of book for scholar-practitioners

Janice Gerda, associate vice president for student affairs, co-authored a chapter in the book, Student Affairs Professional Preparation: A Scholar-Practitioner Guide to Contemporary Topics published by NASPA: Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education. 

She and her co-author, Amber Manning-Oulette of Oklahoma State University, wrote the chapter “Teaching a More Complete History of Student Affairs: Cultivating Curiosity Through Hidden Narratives” to encourage creative ways to teach the historical context of higher education in graduate programs for students beginning or enhancing careers in higher education administration and student affairs.
