Discover philanthropic strategies for sustainable change through the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences’ Nonprofit Management and Leadership series. The next session, titled “Transformational Giving: Philanthropic Strategies for Sustainable Change,” will be held virtually Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. in honor of Nonprofit Awareness Month. Kris Putnam-Walkerly, president of Putnam Consulting Group, will address how funders can achieve greater impact through their funding, and how grantees and fundraisers can best understand how to help their funders.
Her new book, Delusional Altruism: Why Philanthropists Fail to Achieve Change and What They Can Do to Transform Giving, will be given to the first 50 individuals who register and attend the event via a general admission ticket.
Putnam-Walkerly has a 20-year career as a philanthropy advisor and was previously with the David & Lucille Packard Foundation. The discussants will be Marcia Egbert, senior program officer at The George Gund Foundation, and Timothy L. Tramble Sr., president and CEO of Saint Luke’s Foundation.
Registration is required to receive the livestream link. If you’ve already registered for this event on dates that were postponed, register again under a general admission ticket to be eligible to win a copy of the book.
