“Set in Stone: Conservation of the CMA Krishna” JANUARY 27, 2020 EVENTS 0 Amaris Sturm, the Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in Conservation at the Cleveland Museum of Art, will deliver a lecture titled “Set in Stone: Conservation of the CMA Krishna,” on Tuesday, Jan 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Happy Dog, 5801 Detroit Ave., Cleveland. The event, which is free and open to the public, is part of the Life, the Universe and Hot Dogs lecture series organized by the Institute for the Science of Origins at CWRU. Sturm is a recent graduate of the Winterthur/University of Delaware program in art conservation. Her talk will examine what art conservation is and how its principles are put to action in her current project on a monumental Cambodian sandstone sculpture, Krishna Lifting Mount Govardhan.
