Sigma Xi, a scientific research society at CWRU, will co-host a discussion on “Why Should We Trust Science?” from 7 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 9, at the Music Box Supper Club. Chris Haufe, a professor in CWRU’s department of philosophy, will lead the discussion.
“Why Should We Trust Science?” will discuss the history of science and the transience of theories once accepted as fact. This event is part of the Science Cafe Cleveland forum, a series of discussions sponsored by the CWRU chapter of Sigma Xi, WCPN Ideastream, and the Music Box Supper Club.
The discussion will begin at 7 p.m., but doors will be open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The Music Box will host a limited menu before and during the event.
