Faculty who are interested in learning more about screen-sharing technology and the iPad Project are invited to attend a hands-on demo event Wednesday, May 1, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Nord Hall, Room 204.
Members of the University Technology ([U]Tech) Teaching and Learning Technologies (TLT) team will be available to showcase the screen-sharing technology. The demo will include opportunities for faculty to try screen-sharing with iPads to simulate what a class meeting might be like. TLT team members can help faculty think through ways to use the technology in their class as they gain experience with the specific devices that would be used as part of the program.
About the iPad Project
The iPad Project is part of the Active Learning Fellowship, which was established five years ago to assist faculty in fully using CWRU’s Active Learning Classrooms. To date, nearly 2,500 students have been impacted by the fellowship.
This project focuses on using screen-sharing of student and instructor content to promote active, collaborative learning using Mersive Solstice screen-sharing technology and iPad Pros in the traditional classroom environment. Faculty that are selected to participate will receive a classroom set of iPads for the fall 2019 semester as well as customized training and support.
Interested faculty can learn more about and apply for the program through a Google Doc.
