“Black Market, Forgeries and Tricksters: Trading Ancient Jewish Manuscripts”

The Siegal Lifelong Learning Program will host an immersive week of study with scholar-in-residence Alex Jassen, the Ethel and Irvin Edelman Professor of Hebrew and Judaic Studies and chair of the Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies at New York University. Four events will be held from Sunday, June 2, to Thursday, June 6, at the Landmark Centre Building (25700 Science Park Dr., Beachwood).

A reception with light hors d’oeuvres will take place before the 7 p.m. lecture.

“Uncovering the Lost Books of the Bible”

Monday, June 3, to Wednesday, June 5
10 to 11:30 a.m.

This lecture series will be held over the course of three mornings. A light breakfast will be served.

“The Beginnings of Judaism and Christianity: Scholars, Soldiers and Sectarians”

Tuesday, June 4, to Thursday, June 6
1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

This course on early Jewish and Christian history will take place across two sessions.

“The End of the World as We Know It: Jewish Perspectives”

Thursday, June 6
7 p.m.

The week’s closing lecture will be followed by a dessert reception.
