The Plain Dealer: Representatives from 31 universities in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania will meet to launch a new cooperative job-posting system that will help couples working in academia find positions within a commutable distance. The so-called “trailing spouse” issue in academia has long created problems for institutions as they seek to fill openings, said Amanda Shaffer, director of the Office of Faculty Development.
