The Taiwanese American Student Association, Korean Student Association and Chinese Student and Scholars Association (CSSA) will host a Spring Festival Gala celebrating the Year of the Pig and embracing Chinese heritage. The event will take place Friday, Feb. 1, from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Thwing Center ballroom.
There will be food, performances, a fashion show, red carpet, signature wall and multiple experiences related to Chinese culture. All are encouraged to attend.
Tickets cost from $8 to $12 and are available through the CSSA website.
All ticket sales will be donated to a charity in China to help children who lost their parents in the 2010 YuShu earthquake revisit their hometown for the first time in nearly 10 years. The donation will be used as their traveling expense.
Visit the Facebook event page for more information about the event and donations.
